Outpatient Department

INTRODUCTION

The Outpatient Department of Tra Vinh General Hospital is pleased to welcome you to the Hospital's official web portal. As the first 'gateway' for receiving patients, the Outpatient Department plays an important bridging role, giving patients peace of mind, trust and satisfaction from their very first moments at the Hospital.

With the slogan “Standard Procedures – Solid Expertise – Wholehearted Medical Ethics”, the Outpatient Department of Tra Vinh General Hospital follows 3 core pillars as its guiding principles: modern, standardized management procedures; accurate, in-depth diagnostic expertise; and wholehearted medical ethics. Fully embracing this spirit, the department's doctors, nurses and healthcare staff are always ready to support patients, providing high-quality, safe, modern and civilized outpatient healthcare services to the public.

The Outpatient Department of Tra Vinh General Hospital was established under Decision No. 20/QĐ-SYT dated 03/06/2008 of the Tra Vinh Provincial Department of Health, upgraded from the former Outpatient Area. Through nearly 20 years of continuous development, the department has steadily established itself as the Hospital's most important reception 'gateway'.

Key development milestones:

  • In 2017: Took on specialized ARV treatment and the dispensing of medication for patients living with HIV/AIDS.
  • In 2018: Merged with the Provincial Committee for Cadres' Health Protection and Care and the Provincial Medical Assessment Center; took on the management and healthcare of officials under the management of the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Government, as well as medical assessment work in the province.
  • On 19/04/2022: The department pioneered the move to and began stable operation at the modern new campus of Tra Vinh General Hospital.

Through tireless efforts, the Outpatient Department is no longer just a clinical examination unit, but has become a model that harmoniously combines outpatient care, health management for officials, and health check-ups for agencies and businesses.

Functions:

As a professional unit of Tra Vinh General Hospital, the Outpatient Department is responsible for receiving patients, examination, diagnosis, outpatient treatment and health check-ups as assigned by the Hospital's Board of Directors.
