The Department of Traditional Medicine (TM) – Tra Vinh General Hospital closely combines traditional medicine with modern medicine to deliver optimal treatment outcomes for people in the province and neighboring areas.
Formation and development: Having grown alongside the hospital, the department has continuously developed its facilities, equipment and the professional expertise of its doctors and staff, establishing a strong reputation in public health care.
Functions and Responsibilities: Inpatient and outpatient examination and treatment using TM, combining TM with modern (Western) medicine.
Role in medical examination and treatment: The department helps reduce the workload of other clinical departments, with particular strengths in treating chronic diseases, paralysis after stroke and musculoskeletal disorders, helping patients reduce dependence on Western medicines and limit side effects.
Patients served: All patients who wish to be examined and treated with TM, the elderly and patients with chronic diseases in the province and neighboring areas.
