Quality Management
Quality management
Quality management is one of the core priorities in the development strategy of Tra Vinh General Hospital. Its aim is to continuously improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, ensure patient safety and achieve the satisfaction of the public. The Hospital recognises that quality is not solely the responsibility of a dedicated department, but a shared duty of all staff, carried out consistently across every clinical activity and every aspect of patient care.
Quality management is implemented with the patient at the centre, patient safety as the foundation and continuous improvement as the driving force for development. The Hospital focuses on developing, standardising and improving clinical and administrative procedures; strengthening the monitoring of compliance with regulations and clinical guidelines; and tracking and analysing quality indicators to identify existing issues and propose appropriate improvement measures.
One area of particular focus is the management and prevention of patient safety incidents. Incidents are reported, recorded, analysed and reviewed in order to identify their root causes, implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence. Through this, the Hospital is gradually building a safe working environment that encourages healthcare staff to proactively identify risks and take part in quality improvement activities.
In addition, the Hospital carries out quality improvement projects across its clinical departments and administrative offices, focusing on practical issues in examination and treatment. Improvement initiatives are encouraged on the basis of the current situation, data and real needs, with the aim of achieving sustainable changes that deliver tangible value for patients, healthcare staff and hospital operations.
Quality assessment and the measurement of patient satisfaction are also key components. Through surveys, feedback, suggestions and patient experience evaluations, the Hospital gains a stronger basis for identifying its strengths and areas for improvement, and for developing solutions to enhance the quality of care. Patient feedback is regarded as an important source of information in planning and implementing improvement activities.
Alongside this, the Hospital places emphasis on developing a culture of quality, raising awareness and accountability among healthcare staff, strengthening coordination between departments and promoting the role of the hospital-wide quality management network. Education, training, guidance and experience-sharing activities on quality are carried out to build the capability of each unit to implement and sustain improvement activities.
Going forward, Tra Vinh General Hospital will continue to expand the use of data in quality management, accelerate digital transformation, standardise procedures and quality indicators, and broaden evidence-based improvement activities. Guided by the principles of “Safety – Quality – Patient-Centred Care – Continuous Improvement”, the Hospital strives to build a professional, effective and safe environment for examination and treatment that increasingly meets the healthcare needs of the public.
