1. 1917

   The construction of the Tra Vinh Provincial Hospital (Hôpital provincial de Tra Vinh) marked a significant milestone in the development of the hospital system in Tra Vinh.

   
2. After 1945

   The hospital has been gradually strengthened and developed in tandem with the growth of the local healthcare system.
3. 1976 - 1992

   During the period when the provinces of Tra Vinh and Vinh Long were merged into Cuu Long Province, the hospital operated under the name "Tra Vinh Regional General Hospital," continuing its mission of providing medical examination, treatment, and healthcare services to the local population.
4. 26/4/1996

   During the period when the provinces of Tra Vinh and Vinh Long were merged into Cuu Long Province, the hospital operated under the name "Tra Vinh Regional General Hospital," continuing its mission of providing medical examination, treatment, and healthcare services to the local population.

   
5. 2002-2012

   The hospital's capacity is increased to 500 beds.
6. 12/2018

   Construction has begun on a new hospital with a total floor area of ​​over 57,000 m² and a capacity of 700 beds. The facility will comprise a nine-story main building (plus a technical floor), auxiliary structures, and a high-tech medical zone. With an investment of 1.6 trillion VND, the project aims to meet the public's demand for high-tech medical examination and treatment services within the province.

   
7. 4/2022

   Inauguration and commissioning of the Tra Vinh General Hospital—a 700-bed facility—located at 399 Nguyen Dang Street, Quarter 10, Ward 7, Tra Vinh City, Tra Vinh Province (currently 399 Nguyen Dang Street, Nguyet Hoa Ward, Vinh Long Province).

   
8. 8/2023

   The hospital's planned capacity has been increased to 900 beds.

   
9. 19/10/2023

   The People's Committee of Tra Vinh Province has issued Decision No. 1568/QĐ-UBND, recognizing Tra Vinh Provincial General Hospital as a Grade I hospital.
