INTRODUCTION
The Department of Internal Medicine A was established in 2023 and is one of the clinical departments of Tra Vinh General Hospital, tasked with examining, treating and caring for patients with internal medicine conditions, especially chronic diseases and patients who are government officials. When first established, the department had 03 doctors and 06 nurses. Since then, its workforce has been steadily strengthened and developed in both number and quality, effectively meeting the growing healthcare needs of the public.
The department carries out examination, diagnosis, inpatient treatment, comprehensive care, and health education and counseling for patients in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health. At the same time, it works closely with other specialties in the hospital to effectively treat internal medicine cases involving multiple comorbidities.
The department serves officials, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and members of the public who need examination and treatment for internal medicine conditions. With the motto "Dedicated Care – Elevating Medical Ethics", the department's staff always put patients at the center, continuously improve their professional skills, renew their service style, and build a friendly, safe and high-quality healthcare environment.
The Department of Internal Medicine A is currently located on the 9th floor of Block D of the hospital, with spacious patient rooms fully equipped for treatment and patient care. The department focuses on professional development, updating new treatment guidelines and increasing the application of modern techniques, helping to improve the quality of medical care and patient satisfaction.
