Department of Neurology

INTRODUCTION

The Department of Neurology of Tra Vinh General Hospital was established on 01/12/2011 under Decision No. 416 dated 04/11/2011 of the Provincial Department of Health, with a capacity of 40 beds. Over 14 years of development, the department has consistently met and exceeded its assigned tasks.

In 2023, the hospital moved to its new campus, and the Department of Neurology's capacity increased to 65 approved (allocated) beds (73 actual beds), with a patient load ranging from about 60 to 90, including 15 emergency beds for the Stroke Unit. This coincided with the issuance of Circular 03/2023/TT-BYT dated 17/02/2023 of the Ministry of Health “providing guidance on job positions, staffing norms and the structure of public employees by professional title in public health service units”.
